South Carolina Form E update: Medical Payments coverage information now supported
New enhancement helps filers meet South Carolina's Form E medical payments coverage requirements

Tyler Insurance Filings has implemented a new enhancement to support updated filing requirements from the State of South Carolina.
South Carolina requires Medical Payment coverage information to be included on Form E filings for qualifying carriers. The state requires a minimum Medical Payments coverage limit of $1,000 per person.
To help filers comply with this requirement, additional fields have been added to the Create Filing workflow when South Carolina is selected as the filing state for a Form E submission.
What's New?
When creating a South Carolina Form E filing, users will now be prompted to indicate the carrier type by selecting:
- Non-Emergency Carrier
- Stretcher Van Carrier
- Not Applicable
If either Non-Emergency Carrier or Stretcher Van Carrier is selected, users must also enter the Medical Payment liability coverage amount per person. Validation has been added to ensure this information is completed before the filing can be submitted.
The Medical Payment coverage information entered during filing creation is automatically included on the generated Form E, providing the information required by South Carolina regulators and helping reduce filing delays or rejections.
