Tyler Insurance Filings has expanded offerings for California insurance filers to generate form REG 1324, Private Carrier of Passengers Insurance Policy Endorsement.

As of early April 2024, Tyler Insurance Filings' users can quickly create the REG 1324 online, along with five other state-specific commercial insurance forms. A private carrier of passengers with authority to operate in California is required to maintain a copy of the REG 1324 endorsement as evidence of financial responsibility and compliance with state laws.
Specifically, "This Endorsement shall be attached to and made a part of all policies insuring private carriers of passengers required to obtain a certificate pursuant to the Private Carrier of Passengers Act, commencing with California Vehicle Code section §34680. The purpose of this Endorsement is to assure compliance with the Act and related rules and regulations."
As an insurance provider, you can quickly produce the REG 1324 endorsement form through the same Create Filings interface all existing Tyler Insurance Filings' users experience today. Once logged in, select 'Endorsement Form 1324' from the Form Type drop-down menu.
After successfully entering all insurance policy and client data, the PDF endorsement is available for immediate download from the Filing Summary page.
To further streamline the process, filers can autofill a REG 1324 endorsement using data from the corresponding REG 1323 filing. The Search Filings interface includes a "Create Form REG 1324" option for every REG 1323 filing approved by the CA DMV. Users can click this button to quickly prefill and generate the REG 1324 form for their customers.
Like the MCP 67 Insurance Policy Endorsement form, the Tyler Insurance Filings system does not transmit the REG 1324 to the California DMV. The agency does not review these endorsements, and its purpose is to assure compliance with California state laws with a copy provided to your policyholder.
