Tyler Insurance Filings: 2024 in review
Streamlining insurance filings with new features and expanded capabilities
Published: January 15, 2025
As we kick off the new year, it's a great time to reflect on the milestones and enhancements that shaped our offerings and empowered our users in 2024. At Tyler Insurance Filings, we're committed to simplifying the insurance filing process and providing innovative solutions to make your workday easier. Here's a look at some of the most impactful developments from the past year.
Simplified delivery of insurance filings with cloud fax integration
In 2024, we expanded our online filing options by integrating cloud-based faxing into our platform. Our cloud fax solution allows users to effortlessly send insurance forms to Montana, Nevada, Rhode Island and West Virginia, using the same online process to generate and submit the certificates of insurance electronically to other states. By leveraging cloud-based technology, users can eliminate the steps to print and send over traditional, hardware-based fax machines, and enable faster, more efficient form submission and tracking. This enhancement is designed to streamline workflows and be a cost-effective way to manage filings and communications with regulatory bodies.

Introduction of the California DMV REG 1324 form
Tyler Insurance Filings expanded its catalog of online forms by adding the California Department of Motor Vehicles REG 1324 form, Private Carrier of Passengers Insurance Policy Endorsement, making it the 18th form available for enrolled insurance companies to generate through our easy-to-use digital process. This new form is essential for private passenger carriers as it serves as evidence of financial responsibility and compliance with state regulations. Tyler Insurance Filings offers six California-specific forms and a streamlined, automated solution for meeting stringent regulatory requirements quickly and with minimal hassle.

Enhanced policy expiration date tracking for Form H filing
Last year, we expanded the policy expiration date feature to include Form H filings, building on its previous offerings for Form E and California MCP filings. This feature allows insurance companies to capture and save policy expiration dates when creating proof of insurance filings. Tracking policy expiration dates is crucial for maintaining up-to-date policy paperwork and agency records, and helps ensure timely, accurate communication with state agencies about active and terminated coverage. By making it easier to track policy expiration dates, Tyler Insurance Filings supports insurers in staying compliant and efficient in their reporting.

Streamlined SR-22 and SR-26 filings for all states
Another system expansion last year included enabling insurance companies to generate personal auto proof-of-insurance forms, including the SR-22 Uniform Financial Responsibility Certificate of Insurance, for all 50 states. For many drivers, the SR-22 form is mandatory to demonstrate compliance and assure the state that the individual will maintain coverage for a specified period. With this enhanced capability, insurance providers can quickly generate and submit SR-22 forms, improving both the speed of resolution for drivers and their overall customer experience and satisfaction. Tyler Insurance Filings continues to offer electronic filing of SR-22 forms to states like Iowa, Maine, and Washington, while now also allowing users to generate these forms as PDF certificates for non-electronic submission to other state agencies, ensuring a seamless process for compliance across various filing methods.

Single sign-on (SSO) for enhanced user access and security
In 2024, we also introduced a highly anticipated feature—single sign-on (SSO). With SSO, users can now access their accounts with a single set of company login credentials, significantly improving ease of use and security. This feature is especially beneficial for organizations with multiple users, streamlining access and ensuring that credentials are securely managed. SSO not only boosts productivity by eliminating the need to remember multiple passwords but also strengthens overall platform security, making it easier for users to stay safe while managing sensitive policy data.
