Enhanced reporting for Agency Administrators
Gain deeper insights into state filing activity
Published: April 15, 2025
State agency managers may find it challenging to track insurance filings effectively without access to the right data. Tyler Insurance Filings recently responded to these needs by enhancing state administrator accounts to include more reports for reviewing filing and user activity to stay well-informed, answer questions, and meet the needs of drivers and motors carriers to remain in compliance.

In response to feedback from an Agency Administrator, we expanded two filing review reports originally designed for other agency users and added them to state Agency Administrator accounts. Previously, Agency Administrators had access to reports that tracked filing activity at a high level across the entire team, while staffers could view reports that include more detailed filing information and focused on their individual user activity.
The recent changes to administrator reports provide the best of both worlds, encompassing more detailed information about filings reviewed by all agency users. These updated reports include Custom Reports and Totals Reports searchable by Submission Date, Effective Date, and Last Action Date. The enhanced Search Filings interface also allows Agency Administrators to locate filings using individual filing criteria, like policy numbers, USDOT numbers, and motor carrier names.
Agency Administrators also can continue to use Filings Reports to retrieve data sets based on high level filing information, like a date range or filing status, and User Activity Reports to track their team's overall progress in reviewing filings.
The new combination of reports will help Agency Administrators monitor insurance filings at a central level, and then easily dive more deeply into issues involving individual filings and assist with resolution of inquiries from insurance companies, motor carriers, and drivers.
The Agency Administrator interface also offers more standard features to help admins independently manage their agency account, including options to manage users, create new canned responses for filings, and update the status of filings that were erroneously accepted or rejected.
Agencies can further improve efficiency by collaborating with the Tyler Insurance Filings team to implement a variety of customizations, like unique business rules and validations, state-specific forms, automated filing reviews, and more.
